Our lunch at The Shard

Shard I recently wrote a post about how new parents often find their social and even romantic lives put on hold for years. Well that's my personal story anyway!

Fortunately E-Man and Bell now go to a wonderful nursery one day a week, which gives me a welcome opportunity to breathe a little and to recharge the batteries once a week.

Last week Mrs Man & Buggy took some time off work which gave us the rare opportunity to have lunch together. And how lucky were we! What a view. We enjoyed lunch at Hutong on the 33rd floor of The Shard in London Bridge. And whilst I'm not great with heights, I did enjoy gazing across London Bridge station, Southwark Cathedral, the River Thames, St Paul's Cathedral and beyond for an hour.

And while you may think we were presented with a hefty bill at the end, consider this. Our bill was cheaper than it would cost two people to visit the viewing gallery at The Shard on the 72nd floor.

I think we'll be doing this again!

I'm linking this post up with What's The Story which runs on PODcast blog and Magic Moments at The Oliver' Madhouse.
